4th – 8th Cross Country

St Catherine 4th-8th grade Cross Country Practices will be on Wednesdays, from 4:00 – 5:00 pm, starting on Sept 7.

We’ll meet at Lower Woodland Park at the soccer field/running track across from the par-3 golf course. We
meet on the west end of the track.

Lacrosse anyone?

North Seattle Lacrosse teams are forming now. They are planning one 3rd/4th grade team, one 5th/6th grade team and two 7th/8th grade teams. No prior experience is required to play lacrosse. The registration fee is $200.00 for each player and scholarships are available. Space is limited and teams fill quickly.

Cross Country Update

4th-8th Graders:
Championship Meet is this Sunday,  Oct 17,  at Woodland Park.   Races start at 1 p.m.   Please arrive by about 12:20 to find parking, warm-up and pin on numbers.

K-3rd Graders:
Great job at your championship meet last Sunday!

Basketball Registration Due Oct 14th

Hey basketball players!

Basketball season with CYO is just around the corner and to avoid late fees, you need to get your registration form and payment in to the school office next week by October 14th!  There are teams forming from 1st through 8th grades for players of all levels.  Take a look at the Basketball info page on our website for more information and get your 2010-2011 Basketball Registration Form filled out and turned in right away!

Cross Country Championships Coming Up Oct 17!

Fairview’s three cross country runners will be competing in their Championship meet Sunday, October 17th.  We hope you’ll come out to cheer them on to the finish line!

In their second preliminary meet last Sunday, they came in for 4th, 5th and 8th grades, respectively, 21^st with a time of 8:40 for 1 mile (improving from last week by 1 second), 13^th with a time of 11:14 for 1.35 miles (improving by 45 seconds!), and 10^th with a time of 10:39 over 1.47 miles (improving from last week by 22 seconds).  Good work!

Cross Country and Soccer are in full swing!

The 1^st – 3^rd grade soccer schedules are posted on our website now, both on the main calendar and on the sport section of the website, so be sure to go out and support your classmates and their soccer team!

We have three of our students in cross country this year from one each from our 4^th, 6^th, and 8^th grades.  In their first meet last Sunday, they came in, respectively, 15^th with a time of 8:41 for 1 mile, 20^th with a time of 11:59 for 1.35 miles, and 16^th with a time of 10:51 for 1.47 miles.  Congratulations!

Slurpee Run this Monday for K-3 – Help Needed!

A slurpee run is planned this Monday for K-3 practice and would really appreciate any parents who could help run with us (or  run/walk at the back of the groups for kids who need to walk).

Time for Cross Country

Hi Parents,

Info on Cross Country for this season is now available online at http://sports.fcsseattle.org/about/cross-country.  The coaches are great! (but could use some help!)  It is a short season (ends mid-October) and is a small time commitment with only one practice a week.

Sign-ups and fees, only $20, are due to FCS by Monday, September 13th. Please make checks out to “St. Catherine CYO Sports”.  Practice and meet dates, times, and locations are listed on the Sports calendar at http://sports.fcsseattle.org/calendar.
